Key points:

  • You can choose any type of bike e.g. road, mountain, electric
  • Your purchase can include a helmet, clothing and other cycling accessories
  • Hire agreement not to exceed 24 months
  • No more than 3 cycle to work agreements will be processed per month.  This is to protect cashflow as EDGE must pay the full cost of each bike upfront.
  • Requests will be dealt with on a first come first served basis
  • Payments are made via salary sacrifice
  • You do not own the bike, this is a hire agreement.  A transfer of ownership can take place after some years for a £1 fee (see FAQs on website)
  • If you leave your employment with EDGE prior to the end of the agreement, the outstanding amount will be taken from your final salary.  If this takes your final salary payment below the minimum wage, you must make your own arrangements to settle the agreement. 
  • You will lose the tax-free benefit on any amount not paid via your final salary. Further information:
